It feels great to be back in the gardens! Some of our gardens were quite wet this spring, but overall we already have a great start on our 2023 season. We all work together to share the tending and share the harvest. It is amazing how much food we grow when we all work together! Many of our members have never gardened before, while others have decades of experience. Everyone is welcome. There is no cost to join. This is great way to share knowledge and make new connections. Check our Locations Page to choose your garden location and meeting time. Then Contact Us to see if we have any spots left available for this season. We currently have an opening on our Board of Directors. We especially need someone with strong accounting experience. If you know someone who would be a good candidate, or to nominate yourself, please Contact Us to let us know. |

the new american perspective
We have a heart for New American immigrants. At least 5% of Fargo's population are refugees. Many have fled war, violence, and insecurity in search of hope in the United States. Unfortunately, limited English skills often makes it hard for them to communicate or find jobs to support their families.
Growing Together first started to help immigrants feed their families and connect them with the people, resources, and language learning skills needed to join our community. Today, we have a healthy balance of New and "Not-New" American volunteers. And everyone takes home a share! |
