Become a Partner
Growing Together Community Gardens partners with organizations across the Fargo-Moorhead region to turn land, resources, and relationships into living systems of food access, education, and care.
local food system
Advancing Food Access & Food Security
Partners join Growing Together because it directly strengthens local food systems and expands reliable access to fresh produce for communities experiencing food insecurity. Through programs like weekly meals at the New Life Center and produce donations to Heart-n-Soul’s pay-as-you-can pop-up cafes, Growing Together helps organizations move from intention to direct, tangible food support.
from land to garden
Creating Place-Based Community Spaces
Partnerships often form around activating land into meaningful community gathering spaces, especially in parks, campuses, and neighborhood hubs. We transform underutilized or community-centered land into living garden sites that foster connection, stewardship, and public engagement.
skill-building
Education, Youth Engagement & Skill Building
Organizations partner because Growing Together provides hands-on learning environments that build agricultural knowledge, youth programming, and practical life skills. These partnerships support both structured education and informal learning experiences rooted in gardening, food systems, and sustainability.
wellness lifestyle
Health, Wellness & Community Care Integration
Growing Together is increasingly a partner in wellness, connecting food, mental health, and community care through shared spaces and programming. This makes it a strong fit for healthcare systems, care facilities, and wellness-focused organizations seeking grounded, community-based outreach.

What Our Members Have to Say
Chris S.
"It gives me an opportunity to be involved in my community, learn more about gardening, make new friends and receive delicious organic produce."
Leah S.
"I have gotten to try new vegetables and new recipes, I have met new friends that I am now getting together with outside of gardening times, and I am interacting with people from other cultures. I am also getting more exercise than I did before."
Abby A.
"I am able to meet other members in our community as well as invite new members to our gardens. GTCG also helps me to stock up on produce and learn new skills to preserve and provide for my family. "

The Story of Our Growing Impact
What began as a single garden in 2006 has grown into a network of community gardens that support gardeners from many backgrounds. From shared plots to orchards and a high tunnel greenhouse, the impact has continued, helping people grow food and build community across all ten gardens in the Fargo–Moorhead area.
